The past few months have given many of us an opportunity to try new things, like taking workplace meetings to virtual heights; FaceTime, Zoom, Google chatrooms have become the norm in almost every field. With person-to-person interactions, few and far (at least six feet?) between, an email can come across as a bunch of words that can actually keep the brain in its predisposed place of fight or flight. Our friends at RPost have suggested that even the simplest use of a smiley emoji “with a quasi-human face placed in context can initiate a favorable human bonding experience.” Additionally, they suggest that its a simple way to visually cue people into “life-is-good mode.” In our world, today, I think it can be a safe bet to say, we all would desire to be in that life-is-good mode. If a smiley a day can keep fear at bay, and bring success to business in general, then I am in ?.
